The Linc - Seahawks suggested as Eagles draft day trade partner

Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ... 2024 NFL mock draft with all trades: Deals for 32 first-round picks - ESPN+Seahawks get: 1-22, 2-53 ... Eagles get: 1-16, 3-81. GM Howie Roseman lives to move up a couple picks in Round 1 and beat another team to the player he wants. By those standards, jumping six picks is a more significant leap, but the Eagles are being run a little differently in 2024 than they were in years past. Roseman has to seriously think about what’s going to happen at cornerback in both the short- and long-term. James Bradberry and Darius Slay could both be gone in 2025, and Philadelphia might need a first-rounder to step in and play meaningful snaps if either of the two get injured this season. Moving up would get the Eagles ahead of the Jaguars in the cornerback mix. Philly has two second-round picks as a result o

Photo by Jordon Kelly/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images With the 24th overall pick in the 2024 Bleeding Green Nation community mock draft, Dallas Cowboys GM Elliptical Man selects ... Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia Background The Cowboys ended last season getting spanked by the Packers in the Wild Card round. This was the Boys’ 28th consecutive season failing to advance to the NFC Championship game. Owner Jerry Jones then promised fans they were “all in” on 2024. Reality, however, tells a different story. Free agency was a bit underwhelming. They signed LB Eric Kendricks to replace the oft-injured Leighton Vander Esch. But they lost DE Dorance Armstrong, DT Jonathan Hankins, LT Tyron Smith, Center Tyler Biadasz, and RB Tony Pollard. They now turn to the draft to fill glaring roster holes, but they don’t pick until 24 and they only have 3 picks in the first 4 rounds. Needs LT: A premier position and the cupboard is a bit empty with the d

Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images Howie SZN A week from now we’ll be reacting to what the Eagles do in the 2024 NFL Draft. Overreacting, probably, but that’s our right as fans. This week, we’ll be asking questions. Scroll down and ask away in the comment section below. But first, my question to you. Which of these options do you prefer:

NFL Draft Rankings 2024: Cornerbacks
By:
Ben Natan

Photo by Kevin Sabitus/Getty Images Cornerback is the deepest positional group among defenders in this draft class. Six of the top 10 cornerbacks in this class could go in the first round, and the top 15 should all be drafted in the first three rounds. For a cornerback needy team like the Eagles, there are lots of players to be had with their first three picks. 1. Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo What he does well: Quinyon Mitchell was one of the stingiest cornerbacks in the country over the last two seasons. He has great athleticism and instincts that allow him to close on the football with ease. He did his best work in college playing off-coverage, allowing his speed and eyes to generate incompletions. He also has a solid, NFL build. Where he can Improve: Mitchell has very little experience as a press-man coverage cornerback. He has the tools to do it, with a strong build and physical playing style, but it is a new technique he will need to learn in the NFL

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Vikings pick pass rusher

Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State Chaos Theory Expect the unexpected. Thousands of mocks are run every spring; compiling evaluations of the very best college players based off their on-field performance, combine testing, and team visits (just to name a few factors), eventually forming a rough level of consensus as the NFL Draft approaches. By Night 1 the world has decided what is expected, and therefore what is deemed acceptable. And yet, seemingly every year to our collective shock some apparently desperate or incompetent team takes a player much earlier than expected or a player we all thought to be a can’t-miss prospect sits for hours waiting to hear their name finally be called, which leads us to the 2024 NFL Draft… Roger Goodell sent shockwaves through Campus Martius Park wh

Jason Kelce says DeVonta Smith is the ‘smoothest (MF) I know’

Photo by Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images The former Eagles center could not be more excited for DeVonta Smith’s new contract. A lot of people are celebrating DeVonta Smith’s new contract with the Eagles, including former teammate Jason Kelce. Kelce and his brother, Travis, spoke about Smitty’s contract extension on their latest episode of New Heights, and Jason could not have been more excited for someone he called an outstanding young man. Travis asked if Smith was an underrated part of the Eagles offense, and Jason was quick to explain that while he might get overlooked by outsiders, “he’s definitely not underrated by anyone on the team.” Jason acknowledged that with Smith playing alongside A.J. Brown, “the best receiver in the NFL,” means he doesn’t always get the recognition he should, but among the organization, he is just as valued. “The route-running ability of DeVonta Smith is insane to watch

Ranking 20 wide receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft

Photo by Jonathan Bachman/Getty Images It’s draft season! I’ve been busy watching a bunch of these prospects, so in the lead-up to the 2024 NFL Daft, I’ll be releasing my rankings. Before you read ahead, please keep in mind the following! I have ranked these players based on the Eagles’ needs and scheme fits. Therefore, the round grade I have given considers that. For example, I may have had a 2nd round grade on a player like Trey Benson if the Eagles badly needed a running back, but I have pushed him down the board after the signing of Barkley. Please focus more on the tiers rather than the list. I use tiers when I have similar grades on players, and there might not be a lot of difference between players if they are in the same tier. I try to watch as much film as I can on these guys, but I also rely on others for stats and other data. Huge credit to PFF and Dane Brugler for some of the stats and measurables used in the pieces

The Linc - Daniel Jeremiah “wouldn’t sleep” on Eagles trading up for a cornerback

Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images Philadelphia Eagles news and links for 4/18/24. Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links ... 2024 NFL Draft: Five takeaways from Daniel Jeremiah’s conference call - NFL.comThe division-rival Eagles are always a prime candidate to move. GM Howie Roseman didn’t come to be known as “Trader Howie” by being a wallflower, and after an offseason of losing some pieces, they might be ready to make a big jump up for the right player — perhaps one of the top two cornerbacks in this class, Alabama’s Terrion Arnold or Toledo’s Quinyon Mitchell. “I never sleep on Howie Roseman as a potential (mover) to go north or south,” Jeremiah said. “I always keep an eye on them. I think they have a pretty obvious need there at corner. “You have somebody like Terrion Arnold or even Mitchell, if ... either those guys start to drift a little bit, I wouldn’t sleep at all
